Web Development 2010 – Embracing the new thinking…

The expansion continues. Of consciousness, of thought, of love, of grace, of miracles. And we who embrace this explosion of love and passion and peace are positioned to lead others – through our thoughts, our words, our actions, our creations, our love.

What does this have to do with web development? Nothing. And everything. And if you grasp my meaning, I hope you’ll continue reading…

In actuality, there’s not really all that much that’s new. Maybe all this has been known by some select few for all the ages. But what is different is the vast wave of newcomers to this awakening of thought. Rather than just a few philosophers and mystics and monks, lots and lots of regular people are finding the clarity of the perfection of oneness and love and peace.

And the duality is ending. So I’m not two people any more. I’m not an engineer by day and an artist by night. I’m not a web developer and poet; I’m a poetic web developer. I live the stuff. I love the people I work with. I love the things I work on. And I do mean love. I mean passionately. I love waking up every morning, filled with gratitude, diving into collaborative projects, loving connections, opportunities to release and grow and to manifest our dreams.

So with this change in mindset, in worldview, in paradigm, we need to change how we see and approach the internet. What worked well just a few months ago doesn’t work anymore. People, our audience, our partners, our friends, our customers and clients and potential customers and clients, are both more and less patient. They insist, this new wave of internet users, they insist on being loving and loved and staying in the truth – the new truth that we’re discovering and creating and influencing. And websites and tweets and postings and emails that don’t resonate, they simply let fall away. They don’t complain about fear or ignorance; they simply and quietly leave.

So our websites need to change. They need to attract rather than pull or push. They need to be pleasant and calming. They need to be respectful of the oneness that we know we all share. We need to meet people where they are, rather than ask them to make a special trip to see us. That means, for most of us, Facebook and Twitter, and to a smaller extent some others places like YouTube and LinkedIn. And blog sites, not that stand alone, but are part of larger communities such as Blogger or WordPress.

And we have to be fast. Our visitors and potential visitors will not give attention to a website or Facebook group or a Tweeter that’s not in line with their new understanding of love and light. We that embrace the amazing and sweeping changes are thriving. I hope you’ll join us.
